I've owned Toshiba Regza 42RV530U 42" 1080p LCD HDTV set for 8 months now and Toshiba Regza 42RV530U 42" 1080p LCD HDTV is great!!! The picture in HD is outstanding. There is a problem with the screen showing lighter areas when the screen goes black but these are easily reduced by adjusting the picture settings, Tweaktv and Cnet have all the user adjustable settings on their websites. The SD picture is good but once you watch HD there is no comparison. Toshiba Regza 42RV530U 42" 1080p HDTV is a great value!!!

I've had Toshiba Regza 42RV530U 42" 1080p HDTV Toshiba 42RV530U for 2+ months. I've been very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it. The specs were same or better than other LCDs I had considered but thing for me that made me select this one was that the width was just right to fit a 42'' into an existing TV cabinet. Picture has been great and I quickly filled the 3 rear 4 HDMI ports (upscale DVD, HD video camera, PC w/ HDMI out). My DVD player is not Toshiba so the Regza Link does not control all features on the DVD player (Panasonic) but does work well for the basic controls my kids use. The optical out is great -- no longer need my audio receiver remote to switch between inputs. Still on standard def DirecTV but Toshiba Regza 42RV530U 42" 1080p LCD HDTV is becoming less important as I find myself spending more time on the TV's antenna input watching the local HD broadcasts (HD is so much better). Toshiba gives you lots of control to fine tuning the picture, so much so that I'm still doubting I've got it optimized.

This Tv looks very good. I am around alot of HD tv's everyday with my line of work and this tv has one of the best pictures I have ever seen. It also had the best looking picture in the store next to all the other brands. If Tiger Direct had carried the 42RV540U with the 120hz screen I would have probably gone with it for the $400-$500 more price tag. I really do not see how it could have a better picture though. Tgis tv does not ghost at all.
