I just purchased Magellan Roadmate 1200 GPS (Refurbished) unit last week. My First GPS so I thought I would start with a basic model. Shipping was Very fast from TigerDirect, the product arrived in perfect condition. My only complaint at Magellan Roadmate 1200 GPS ( ) time is the date of the preloaded maps, October 2007 with no updates available from Magellan.

I think this is the best value on the market today. It work great and I would buy it again without a pause.

I've had this unit for 2 days. Very easy to use. Has basic features and adequate maps for finding most addresses. Excellent performance for the price. Great starter GPS. Thanks Tiger best price I have found even when shipping is included in the purchase price.

I purchased this GPS unit as the ''beater'' unit, and Magellan Roadmate 1200 GPS (Refurbished) is my second Magellan Auto GPS that I own (I got a 1212). Compared to my other unit, it behaves exactly the same with the exception that it does not verbalize the street name, only the direction to the next waypoint. (maybe configuration). However it's routes/re-routes faster than my other unit and the directions are better laid out.The refurbished unit shipped by Tiger Direct worked out of the box and it looked new. There were no missing parts of it and packaging looked fine. I paid 10 dollars more than the current advertised price (missed by 1 day), but overall I'm happy with the quality of the product. My only complaint, at no fault from Tiger Direct, is that I'm not trilled of them using SSD's to store the maps. There have been many times that I accidentally pop up the SSD which causes the unit to reboot. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
