I've been using D-Link Print Server unit for over 2 years and it works great.A little understanding of how to assign IP addresse's would be a plus in your favor,especially if you are using a router which might have the same IP sddress as D-Link Print unit.It can be figured out rather quickly between the documentation and/or online help.I bought this unit because i had 2 older model Epson's and a newer USB printer which worked out great.With 2 desktops and a laptop,i am now able to print to either of 3 printers,and even wirelessly from the laptop because i use a wireless router.I only wish D-Link had a unit with maybe 3 USB and 1 Parallel port connection.Great styling too.

The dp-300u is a great printer server. I bought it and conected it all up to the printers and my wireless hub [the di-624 hub] witch works great powered it up installed the printers on all the dirrernt pc's and away it went. the bottom line is i would recomend this product to everyone.

Holy smoke ! This print server is definitly the best I ever worked with ! It took only 2-3 minutes to have it up and running on my school network ! Menus are very user friendly and for only $90, you get D-Link reliability and efficiency !A very good solution instead of buying a network ready printer that cost a lot of money ! A must have for networked offices !

Originally I had a Hawking HPS3P which after 2 years and multiple reinstalls, died completely. The D-Link unit installed almost effortlessly, the only quirk being that each printer must have a unique port name (page 7 of installation guide). The unit is currently working flawlessly driving two printers, a HP LaserJet 6L, and a HP DeskJet 670C. With any luck D-Link Print Server will outlast the HPS3P!
