I buy a computer I expect it to last me at least 3 years, with Apple care I know AppleCare Protection Plan MA514LL/A for Mac Mini will continue to work the same way it did the day I bought it. If it stops working, or is not working as expected I simply take it in to my apple store and they fix the problem. They will even re-image my drive (i need to back up my data)
Apple Care also gives you an 800 number to call if you need to ask a question about your Mac.
