XFX GeForce 8500 GT USC 512MB PCIe Reviews
REVIEW BY: Reviewed Aug 27, 2008
For the price, XFX GeForce 8500 GT USC 512MB PCIe is the most amazing card out there. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that your tower should have a lot of circulation and some pretty nice fans to keep up with XFX GeForce 8500 GT USC 512MB PCIe beast. It supercharged my games and its just unbelievable. The only downside is the temperature spikes! mid-70's if your not careful.

I've been using this card for 6 months in a HTPC. While this is not the fastest NVidia chipset by any stretch, it is more than adequate for driving an HDTV display, and of course is silent. I haven't experienced any overheating issues, and my computer case is not exceedingly hot with this card installed. And of course the price is right. Has both DVI and analog output, so you have flexibility in how you want to hook this up to a TV.

This card is perfect if you looking to upgrade to a PCI-E card and if you're on a budget. It's not the fastest or the flashiest card on the market, but XFX GeForce 8500 GT USC 512MB PCIe will do your everyday needs. Make sure your tower does have plenty of air, it does get somewhat hot.

don't like it too much when I'm playing battlefield 2 online and the action is close up and fast, the picture gets choppy. also smoke in the pic doesn't help much. should have spent a little more but was trying to keep my new build cheap
