I had a little problem installing the adapter but I am very happy with TRENDnet TEW-429UB USB Wireless Adapter wireless adapter. I followed the instructions that came with the product but my computer didn't recogize the device. I restarted my computer and it has worked perfectly ever since. I does come covered in soccer balls but I could care less, it works perfect and that is all I care about.

Well after recieveing the product (2 days late) and pulling it out of the box, it wasn't exactly what I expected (had soccer balls all over it). But once I pulled out the disc I found the installation very easy and the Hotspot detector as easy as flipping a switch! I have 2 things to say about TRENDnet TEW-429UB USB Wireless Adapter, easy to setup, and great to use!

Within 5 minutes of opening the box, TRENDnet TEW-429UB USB Wireless Adapter was up and running. Took it out of the box, ran the software, plugged it in and Voila' - instant connection. However, it is ugly (I got the ''Soccer Ball'' version) but you can't really see it so who cares? For $20 it's a great, reliable product. Always connects, never loses a connection, and super fast.

Product was easy to install, setup and use. A little short on documentation in the box but really didn't need it. The only really disappointing thing to me was that the item that they are now selling is white and has soccer balls all of the face of it instead of the way it is pictured for sale here on TigerDirect. I guess it is really no big deal because the item does work, it is just that i am not a soccer fan, so in appearance to me not very attractive.

Installation instructions are poor, quick start guide is incomplete. You're supposed to do the first part of the installation, click 'finished', plug in the adapter, the second part is supposed to launch automatically. It didn't. We plugged in the adapter, restarted the installation and choose 'modify', and at that point, somehow, the adapter was installed. We let it charge--required, but not mentioned in the quick start guide--then things got really weird. The adapter located hot spots, but the moment we plugged it into the USB port, it lost signal. We uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled, restarted, uninstalled, downloaded the driver from the Trendnet site, installed, restarted; created profiles, set security levels, and the results of that was a blue screen--my OS shut down. Finally, it would transmit signal for a few minutes, but then terminate. My favorite part was when I called Trendnet support--at 1 am, Central--and they were too busy to take my call. Waste of time and money.
