I have successfully installed TRENDnet Print Server printer server to a Samsung Laser, and Epson Ink Jet. They are used by an XP Desktop, 2 XP laptops, and a Vista 64bit machine. I have had only minor problems with having to reboot the device once in a while (unplug - replug). I have had no problems with Vista with either configuring or with rebooting. I did use XP for the initial set-up, but TRENDnet Print should not be necessary. Once the device gets an IP address you can navigate to the home page and get configuration information from there - should be no problem. I would add it wouldn't hurt to have some decent network knowledge to work with this device. If you don't - you might consider setting up a shared printer on a PC you don't mind leaving on - that is much simpler. I would recommend this device.

This product looks good on paper and if you are running with Windows XP it's fine.If you have Windows Vista, don't even think of using it. First the install CD does not work with Vista. Second if you do get it to run (by installing it elswhere on the network using an XP machine), when you setup your Vista printers they work fine until you reboot Vista. Then they appear offline. This is well documented on the web -- yet the company does nothing about it!The tech support person is hopeless. All I could get out of her is an acknowlegement that there is a Vista problem. The updated ''firmware'' on their site (a .zip file) expands out to some kind of non-functional .bin file. I am awating feedback from their tech support via e-mail -- still!
