First GPS and after looking at others TomTom XL-S GPS was a steal at less than $200 CDN from tiger. Easy to use,set up, update, and the voice packs are hilarious making driving fun. Media player might have been nice but het !

I have mine for couple of months now, I love TomTom XL-S GPS GPS ever since I had it. Why? from out of the box from the store where I bought, it worked perfectly it did found my house which is in the newly develop area like 1 month old, which my friends Magellan & Garmin can't find it.Super easy to use (this is not my first GPS) and easy to update unlike others you have to pay for it! map correction you gotta love this all the GPS should have it very very helpful very important option. Stick the GPS mount really good before you put the GPS in it and that should fix the loose mount.

I like the ONE XL-S because it has all the features you'll use and none of the ones your probably won't. The best part about this GPS is the text-to-speech feature. It makes navigating in the city very easy, and it's great because it tells you the names of the streets to turn on. I've found the maps on this device to be very accurate and up to date. The mount is a little loose some times, but other than that I've never had any problems with it. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

This was my first major purchase at COMPUSA and I have to say I love my tom tom....for anyone who is currently opptimistic about purchasing one DON'T be! it's a great easy to use piece of techology thats very useful! Pros: nice size screen, easy to use, easy downloads, nice options.Cons: Not many special services avaliable in the US such as traffic updates, weather, or traffic cams.Main point...easy to use....

Good unit, I like it, read the other reviews for positives, however I have two cons. 1. the unit has no flight mode so if you are in an airplane traveling at 300+ miles per hour it is trying to calculate street names and routes... it's just crazy. 2. I travel a lot to Central America, I thought I could get maps either from TomTom or a third party so far no luck, I understand that TomTom will not allow 3rd party maps, however it seems that Garmin and Magellan have third parties who have created maps for their units. TomTom only make maps for some countries not all so beware if you travel or fly. Also one feature that would be nice is if the unit would display your altitude.
