Sabrent PCI-G802 PCI Wireless Card Reviews

I bought 2 of these to set up an Ad-Hoc Internet sharing network with XP and AOL Broadband. No Go. Couldn't figure out the IP configs. 192.168.0.1 conflicted with the host wifi card and the AOL modem. AOL wouldn't help either. Regular peer-peer wifi was fine. Very weak signal strength only 20 ft away through a wood floor. So if you are close enough for a 10ft patch cord these are good for wifi.

Sabrent PCI-G802 PCI Wireless Card wireless adapter installed with ease. The speed and signal strength is also very good. Previously purchased a Hiro 802.11g 54Mbps PCI NIC, WHQL which would not connect to the internet although it would detect my network. Buy this card. Cheaper and works the 1st time.

I love telling this story. I bought two MAC G4's at a garage sale for $40. Well one had OS 10.4 so Sabrent PCI-G802 PCI Wireless Card was able to run anything that I through at it. So I pulled the RAM from the other machine, installed a 5 port USB, and then ordered this card. I installed the card and then the software for my newly aquired MAC. I spent 4 hours trying to get it to work. It turns out that my cable modem was the problem. The card connected to the network flawlessy and got a great signal every where in the house. I am pleased with the product and I will be installing another one in the other G4. I hope that this review helps. So for about $70 dollars and some frustration I have a wirless desktop with bluetooth and more more. Great for kids.
