So far, its eh. The USB helps as does the floppy (for some school stuff). Though I was disappointed to find that there is supposed to be a Install CD included. It isnt. And there are no DLs for updates. The install is basically for the card reader.

Install was easy even though no technical documentation is provided. No need for drivers on Vista (OS installed everything required). Operation of the floppy requires IDE connection and power, in addition to USB header for memory card readers (three things need to be connected to MB: USB, IDE, and floppy power). Didn't see any problem with the size of the device. It fitted neatly in a Ultra case. Device looks nice.

Have been looking for one of these for 2 or 3 years now. Ultra has had one for some time that doesn't accept Fuji XD flash cards. I use both XD and SmartMedia cards. Sabrent CRW-FLP2 Floppy Drive & Card Reader Sabrent does not show SmartMedia cards as compatible. Sabrent apparently doesn't answer email inquiries concerning compatibility, TigerDirect only looks at published catalog information to answer inquiries, so I had to take a 'leap of faith' and ordered the device. IT DOES READ SmartMedia cards as well as XD. The front cover of the device is correct and reads ''SM/XD'' over the appropriate port even though neither Sabrent nor TigerDirect realize Sabrent CRW-FLP2 Floppy Drive & Card Reader.

I purchased this to go into my rebuilt rig which was fried by a lightning strike. My DP45SG Intel mobo didn't have a floppy controller, so I thought I could get by using the device as an internal USB flash card reader. Wrong! My system locked up so tight I couldn't even get a BIOS screen. Not to mention about having to shoehorn the thing into my case. Be very careful about this little rascal.
