Prolynkz World PWC-010 Web Cam is an amazing camera for the price, a total steal. I gave it 4 stars on Features, Quality, and Performance only because top of the line webcams outshine in those areas. 99% of people simply need a functioning webcam with a clear picture, so I wholeheartedly recommend Prolynkz World PWC-010 Web Cam to all but the most demanding users. I expected to be disappointed with this unit due to the $12.99 price; I was very wrong. It performs very nicely and works great in low light. I havent once needed to use the LED lights. Also, the device is very tiny! There is a fun option in the software that constantly analyzes the picture then pans and zooms in on wherever your face is. The camera's manual focus knob is very smooth and easy to use. It is VERY gradual which makes getting a clear picture far easier than other manual focus cams, including Logitech! This one is probably not the best of the bunch, but it's well built, has good performance and it's CHEAP. It's really 1.3MPix, the face tracking feature actually works very well, and for the guy complaining below about the LEDs being too bright... well, you might notice that there is a small wheel on the wire to turn them on and off and dimm them when you need to. I would surely recommend this webcam, it's a good one and for this price you can't go wrong.

Settings - Lots of control here, screenshot: http://bayimg.com/image/balknaabl.jpg (leave the default settings it does just fine!!) CONS: Unit has 2 wires, one for USB. The other is a 3.5mm stereo cable for your computers microphone jack. Most webcams with microphones only require a single USB cable / Bundled software: There basically isnt any. Youll need your own software to record video files. There isnt any included software to snap pictures with the webcam, but Windows has a built in way to do this (located in My Computer once camera is plugged in). None of this affects your ability to video chat on Skype, msn, etc. / No physical button on webcam to take a photo. Overall I highly recommend this camera to anyone, particularly people who will be using the cam for online video chatting. While more expensive cameras with pricey features (carl zeiss lenses, auto focus, etc) outshine this unit in the image quality department, the Prolynkz cam certainly doesnt have any faults.

this is an overall amazing camera i didnt expect much since i was paying so little but it does everything i need it to i can get still photos as well as video and i have been using it for a live stream with no problems i definately recommend buying this before you buy an expensive brand name camera....it does the job Prolynkz World PWC-010 Web Cam was designed for well THANKS TIGER

Easy installation and acceptable images for chat sessions. To take advantage of the snapshot ability it's best to copy the Video Power application from the install CD to get higher resolution images. However, snapshots greater than 800x600 are too grainy. Overall good value for the money.
