I bought Pinnacle Video Transfer USB 2.0 Capture Device to convert home video from a digital 8mm Sony video camera. I wasn't able to use the ''best'' setting on the transfer device, the video and the sound would become unsyncronized. Tried the ''Better'' setting, and Pinnacle Video Transfer USB 2.0 Capture Device resolved the issue, but the video quality suffered. I flashed the firmware in an attempt to use the ''Best'' setting, but this didn't work. This device compresses the video way too much, I was imediately disappointed with this device. I will call support to see if anything can be done about the video quality, but I will probably end up returning this device, and getting something else.

Really great device,perfect for transferring all those old VHS's to digital format and putting them on your ipod. I'm still using the firmware that it came with and have had no reason to update it so far.Really recommend this even though the price may be a little steep.
