Print Server was easy to set up. Worked like a champ till the next day when it lost connection to the network. Ended up having to cycle the power at least once a day to get it to work and finally removed it from the printer and recertified it to the circular filing cabinet

Netgear USB Print Server is an excellent deal for $24. It is a Netgear Brown Box Refurb (i.e.- direct from manufacturer not a repackaged return). I am using Netgear USB Print with a Samsung SCX-4521FG printer and it is up and running with 4 computers on my network (two running Vista, one with MCE and the other with XP Pro). Thanks TD, I am very happy with this purchase.

First, make sure your printer is on the compatibility list. After that, follow instructions exactly. After that, may need to manually add a printer port...my software kept giving a printing error until I manually set up a port...see the Netgear website for instructions. Other than that, great product for the price!

Nothing fancy, just a stone simple bit of hardware. Easy to get up and running, inexpensive way to share a printer on your network.

Works well, but as noted it takes some time & effort to set up. Down load the correct version software (V1) & read through all the instructions. The time spent up front understanding the process greatly helps the insallation. Took more time to print & read instructions than to install. I installed printer on PC 1st so wizard found/ installed seamlessly. Print server works well. A little slower than a direct USB line. No feed back from printer on ink levels so not all 'printer tools' work. Best value for the dollar I've seen in a while. Need network printer & your is on compatability list BUY IT.
