Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000
Microsoft Optical Mouse 3000 Description
Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000
It's wired, stylish, compact, ambidextrous and it's finally here. This mouse is made for mobility and offers a cool alternative to notebook touch pads with an athletic-inspired design and blue LED. This High Definition mouse even sports a new compact Tilt Wheel and Magnifier tool for easier navigation of spreadsheets, documents and images. It's a mouse that looks as good in your gym bag as in your laptop bag.
A recent study showed that notebook mouse users experience a lower incidence of pain in comparison to users who don't use an external pointing device.

Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 mouse is exactly what I wanted it is extremely small fits my small hand perfectly, although my husband tried it out and said that it is very uncomfortable since it is so small. I have a 12.1'' laptop and the button on the side with the zoom feature has made a great impression on me from day one, it opens up a zoom popup box and makes reading text at a further distance a bit more doable. The Software that came with it installed on Windows XP without any problem. I recommend Microsoft Optical Mouse 3000 mouse to any one that wants a mouse that is small and doesn't want to fill up there laptop bag with a bulky full size mouse.

The scroll wheel doesn't click it runs smooth. I'm not sure if that's what people want but it's something some might like to know.

Works well enough, but after using it for a few weeks, I'm getting some serious hand cramps. For the price, it's a good value, but I wish I had shopped around for something a little more ergonomic.

Terrific Windows mouse with only one serious drawback. I use it with both my Dell 12-inch Inspiron and my Apple 12-inch PowerBook. The Magnifier tool does not, of course, work in OS X. Not a big deal, since the PowerBook screen is not particularly high-res. Light-weight, solid-feeling. The big problem is that the tracking fails on surfaces with very little detail (e.g. melamine tabletops, backs of notebooks, etc.). My Targus Bluetooth and Razer Diamondback have no trouble on the same surfaces, so the problem must be the Microsoft illumination or optical sensing design. With a 3M mousepad, the OM 3000 is great. But with a better tracking system it would be even better.
