Logitech Trackball Reviews

I bought Logitech Trackball mouse following a rotator cuff injury. It enabled me to keep working until it healed. And no one ever wants to ''just use'' my computer ''for a few minutes'' as they can't figure out the mouse!

I was so upset when Logitech discontinued their original trackball mouse back in the early 2000's but I was pleasntly surprised at how the newr version, which isn't all that new anymore, perfomed just as good as the original. I've had to buy over a dozen of these in the past eight years since I use them to extremes. From gaming to photo editing, data functions to copy and paste... I abuse them so much I end up wearing them out much faster. Great mouse, inexpensive, classicly timeless but yet not as durable as I would like it to be.

I really enjoy trackballs, no chasing the mouse, getting it caught up in the cord.. But Logitech Trackball trackball I have a problem with. I owned two of them and the same thing happened, there are little ball bearings to move the ball and after about 3 months dirt gets bearings and make the ball difficult to move. There is no way to clean under the bearing so you have stiff movement of the mouse pointer. After this happening to two trackballs I gave up and went back to a regular mouse.

This is the first track ball mouse that I've ever used. And I love it. I found it to be a bit of a steep learning curve. At first you keep trying to move your hand. And, I found that my arm and wrist were sore and stiff until i got used to it.The only real con is that the slide pads (that the ball sits on) get dirty quickly. I find that I need to clean them every 3 to 5 days. They are currently just 3 small dots. I think they might work better if they were larger curved pads, and there were more of them.Something else I would like on it is side scrolling on the scroll wheel.Overall though, I would suggest the mouse to anyone

It's the only type of mouse I use. I've used this type since it came out in the 1990's and I'm replacing the first wheeled version I bought about 8 years ago. A quick flick with the thumb instead of moving your arm all over your desktop makess using it much nicer than a regular mouse. It takes a day or two to get used to but you will love it once you get used to it.
