Pro:Low price for small business router. 5 VLANs, make it easy to seperate the wired/wireless network. 4 SSID make it eaiser to split the Access Point to employees , contractors, and clients.Con:Support is garbage, GRADE F. Support Chat log email, lagged too long, GRADE F. Never got a CASE NUMBER or RMA Number. Had to hammer their support to get one. Unreliable firmware upgrades. Grade F.Other thoughts:STAY AWAY FROM THEIR FIRMWARE. Version 1.0.29 caused my router to not work at all after upgrading from 1.0.24 to 1.0.29. The first 5 months was great, after that firmware upgrade did some damages. Replacement takes toooo long.

For the money Linksys 54Mbps Router router lives up to the Linksys name. From unpacking to having users vpn in took about 20 min. I would buy Linksys 54Mbps Router router again.

Router works great for about a month. After that you can't login to the web interface without power cycling. There hasn't been a firmware update to fix this yet. Last update was 5/2007.

Works ok out of the box. A couple problems really make the value of this router go down.1) Using WPA security causes Wireless clients to drop of network randomly. Rebooting router and renewing IP address are the only way to reset the connection.2) VPN function is not a ''true'' VPN. It only establishes an IPSec Tunnel, and you have to use the Linksys QuickVPN client. You do not get an IP address and the router does not broadcast NetBIOS. Therefore, when connected to VPN, you can ONLY access other equipment on the network by IP Address.
