After a long research, I determined that the Lenovo S10 was the best choice for me. In the specs of the machine it says that max memory was 1.5Gb, but I decided to buy a 2Gb DIMM to try it out. On Windows XP it recognized the 2Gb but ignored the 512mb that it brought built in. After a couple of hours of using it, I decided to upgrade to Vista. The machine runs faster (Lenovo IdeaPad S10-1208U Netbook puzzles me since it's a heavier OS) and it recognizes the full 2.5Gb that are installed on her. In overall, I recomment the S10 to anyone who wants a ultraportable laptop.

I brought Lenovo IdeaPad S10-1208U Netbook product because im a fan of IBM products.I love it. Keyboard is nice and spacious it has built in wifi. Compact and small. One of my favorite colors pink. It has a built in webcam i have'nt tried yet, built in mic. Easy to upgrade hard drive and add memory 1 slot for memory 512mb is attached to motherboard. Could use a better battery Lenovo has stated to have a 6 cell battery later for purchase it uses a 3 cell at the moment. Bright screen, bluetooth is missing. No bluetooth but support for it in the future. It also has a Kensington Portable Security lock slot on the side. Express card slot. I give it a thumbs up. It's solid and stable as for the build. I really like it.

Build quality is terrific, but it overheats after doing anything involving heavy cpu/gpu after a while. Lenovo's testers are unable to fix the issue, but acknowledge that they have gotten calls on this problem. After half and hour to 2 hours, the screen glitches and this will crash.It's a good looking netbook, but it is completely useless if I can rely on it crashing.

I have the white one (same as the pink). It is well built (sturdy). When it came the battery was fully charged so it fire up right out of the box. I was surprised to see how fast it booted up. The display was very good. An entire screen is viewable with no distortion of the image. Keyboard is small (would not want to type an essay on this machine) and very responsive. No dvd drive, no room in such a compact machine. I plugged in a USB DVD drive Lenovo IdeaPad S10-1208U Netbook was recognized with no problem. Same for a USB floppy drive. It saw my local wireless network with no problem. I tried to watch a DVD movie by copying the TS-Video folder to the hard drive. Using PowerDVD it came up with no problem. The display was very quick with no smearing on high action scenes.If you are looking for a small compact window's machine this is a lot of bang for the buck. Some use 16gb SSD drives (internal flash drive). 16gb is not enough memory these days. A little extra money for the 80gb hardrive is well worth it.
