Kworld KW-SA230WP PlusTV TVBox Reviews

Everything seems to work pretty well (as advertised) with Kworld KW-SA230WP PlusTV TVBox product, however there are two VERY MAJOR issues that are not addressed in the technical information. First is the menus - it is not possible to use the front panel or the remote to select a low resolution without seeing the menu. I had to connect a higher resolution monitor to see the menu and then select a lower resolution for the monitor I wanted to use. Second, and the main reason I'm returning Kworld KW-SA230WP PlusTV TVBox item is that the color conversion from both composite and S-video appears to convert to 8-bit color. There are VERY OBVIOUS dithering patterns whenever there are areas of solid colors. This is completely unacceptable and should be part of the advertised specification!

I was just looking to save space in a crowded noisy office/assembly area. Because of the nature of the location I needed to tie in security video, cable, and my PC all into one monitor and it worked fine for doing that. The sound is weak but like I said the place is noisy. The multi channel browsing thing is interesting but I have not found it to be that useful. The picture quality is fine but I am only using standard definition input. I leave it on all the time and it has not given me any trouble at all.

I just purchased this box for my 24'' 1920x1200 Optiquest monitor. Playstation 2 looks slightly blurry and doesnt use the whole width of the monitor. Tv function worked ok along with the sound output to speakers, still a bit grainy though.Picture in picture is not supported at 1920x1200 i thought no big deal. Picture in picture is what you have to use to get to your desktop screen leaving a small tv window on the screen. After pputting the tv box at the max resolution of 1920x1200 it automatically reset my monitors resolution to around 1400xsomething. The icons were gigantic and everything was so blurry it gave me a headache. Resetting the monitors resolution resulted in the tv box shutting off.If you are looking for something with these features skip this item you will be dissapointed like I am.
