The Kodak EasyShare M893 IS combines an eight megapixel CCD imager and a Kodak-branded 3x optically stabilized zoom lens with a 34 - 102mm equivalent focal range. For framing images, there's a 2.7-inch 230K pixel LCD display, but no optical viewfinder - an increasingly rare option these days and one that would add a good degree of versatility, letting you get the shot when you can't make out the LCD in bright sunlight, or save battery life by disabling the LCD when accurate framing isn't vital. Images are stored on Secure Digital / MultiMediaCards including SDHC types, or in 32MB of available internal memory.

I bought Kodak EASYSHARE M893 IS Digital Camera camera at Target and then returned it. It would sometimes shut off randomly, especially when i was zooming in and Kodak EASYSHARE M893 IS Digital Camera was after a recent recharge. In addition, the batter life didn't last long. The image stabalizer didn't work well and pictures were blury often. I had a Kodak i bought 4 years ago which takes better pictures. This camera also responded funny with light... we were out on the water on a sunny day and some of the pictures had a pinkish tint. Lastly, the video files are QuickTime MOV file type - which isn't compatible with programs like windows movie maker. So i end up having to convert the files in order to edit which was a pain.
