Bought one of these about some months ago for about 90 bucks on CompUSA. For the price, I regreted. Anyway, I think KFA2 GeForce 8500 GT 512MB PCIe OEM is a pretty good card for games such as those free MMORPG which uses DirectX 9. I play EXTEEL on everything high and it works great, but if your planning to play games using DirectX 10, I don't think KFA2 GeForce 8500 GT 512MB PCIe OEM is the card for you. Go with a 8800

Overall not a bad card per se. However if you're looking for a card that's going to last you a year or two, this card isn't it. Running moderately (Dual Monitor) for under a year (not 24/7) the fan on the board died in about 4 months.The card runs great, looks great, but needs a better cooling solution to be viable. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Be careful what you read about this card on here. I have no clue what these people call good or ''at max setting without a hitch or lag online'', but this card isn't it. I have had this card for about 6 months now. Personally, I think you shouldn't even consider it unless you need a basic card, for office use or some game like The Sims or Civilization IV. At higher resolutions this card will not do for FPS. BF2 I got about 40 fps at mid settings and 1080 x 720 @ 70hertz(Not sure on the refresh rate). CoD4 I get about 40-91 fps with similar resolution and average settings. But KFA2 GeForce 8500 GT 512MB PCIe OEM will lag when particle intense effects take place, such as smoke grenades or artillery. So these people are either getting paid to say they max the graphics with no lag, or they were playing on the lowest resolution. I also get lots of texture problems with games like CoD4 and BF2, which the game will freeze and some random stuff like textures will change colors or disappear, I think I just got unlucky

Went from a 256mb card to this, what a difference. Battlefield, COD4 and WarCraft all run at max setting without a hitch or lag online.And the rebate made this a fantastic deal.

DO NOT BUY A CARD MADE BY KFA2. THEY WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY. HAD MY CARD FOR 9 MONTHS AND IT WENT UP IN FLAMES. THE CARD BURNED UP. LUCKY IT DIDN'T BURN MY HOUSE DOWN. TRIED TO GET A REPLACEMENT AND THEY SAID THAT KFA2 GeForce 8500 GT 512MB PCIe OEM was PHYSICAL DAMAGE AND NOT COVERED. THERE CARD IS THE ONLY THING THAT WAS DAMAGED BY BURNING ITSELF UP AND THEY WONT REPLACE IT. BUYER BEWARE ON THESE GUYS!!!!!!
