Might be useful for some, but it's just not that great yet. Some significant flaws: 1. The pen's 'click' or 'write' trigger is activated primarily when you push your pen against the paper. The problem is that there's movement here with Iogear GPEN200N Wireless Mobile Digital Scribe switch, and while it may be less than 1 mm, that's a good bit when you're writing, and it means that parts of your writing aren't captured correctly when you're lowering or lifting your pen. Iogear GPEN200N Wireless Mobile Digital Scribe wouldn't be so much of a problem if you wrote big or in cursive (with longer single strokes). I don't.2. There's no way to flip through your pages when you're not connected to a computer. If you don't write for 10 minutes, the device goes into 'sleep' mode, and when it comes back, you're on a new page. This is not convenient at all. The device also crashed several times when it went into sleep mode. A great idea, but needs refinement. If you draw or write big or would find this REALLY useful, it may still work for you.

What a nice change from the large bulky tablet input devices. The software allows changes in both color and line size and the receiver is very sensitive and accurate with respect to actual marks by the pen. The only cheesy aspect is that the maker does not provide ANY refills for the pen.
