The Hiro H50012 is a powerful, high-performance Fast Ethernet switch, with all 8 ports capable of 10 or 100Mbps auto-negotiation operation (NWay), meaning that the switch could automatically negotiate with the connected partners on the network speed and duplex mode (Full duplex or Half duplex). This H50012, in fact, is an ideal solution for micro-segmenting large networks into smaller, connected subnets for better performance efficiency, thus enabling bandwidth demanding multimedia and imaging applications to operate on workstations. Moreover, the 10/100Mbps auto-sensing ability provides an easy way to migrate 10Mbps to 100Mbps network with no pain.
Compared to the shared 10Mbps or 100Mbps networks, the NWay switch delivers a dedicated 10/100Mbps connection to every attached client with no bandwidth congestion issue. Store-and-forward switching modes promises the low latency and eliminates all the network errors, including runt and CRC Checksum on recognizing error packets. The full-duplex transmission and reception mode allow the frames to be transfer simultaneously without causing collisions.

The hubs works fine for my office, we have a small office recently established and I purchased several of the 5 ports previously. Very inexpensive products that do the job pretty well.

Avoid Hiro 8-Port Switch one. As far as I can see, you get what you pay for. I have to unplug mine and restart it every couple of days because some or all ports will lock up.
