Garmin Quest GPS Reviews

Garmin Quest GPS GPS is perfect for my motorcycle. Garmin Quest GPS same model is sold by Harley for a much higher price in black under another name, but same features. Waterproof. The screen is viewable in full sunlight. Plenty of features for the money and POIs. Battery lasts 20 hrs but I would recommend the Garmin motorcycle mount to add power and earphone connection which can also be amplified. Easy to find hotels near your destination. Garmin Quest GPS will not hold the entire USA but using the software you can load all the states you need to get where you are going. Nav calculation is not the fastest but tolerable. Took it to the HD 105th in Milwaukee and was great on getting us back to the hotel and finding new places to see. It even took us back to where we parked the bike after the concert. WOW! Cool! Again, Great for motorcyclists.

The Garmin Quest is an excelent GPS for my Jeepand at $ 99.00 price with the added extra two year warranty sound like a very good deal! Unfortunately, this refurbished item was sent to me twice and both times I received a defective GPS. First one had a problem with altitude reading it would go from 150ft to -30 ft continously. Second GPS simply turned on and locked up and then wouldn't shut down. I am returning both models and HOPE that the next one Tiger Direct send will function correctly.

DON'T. I craved this GPS as Garmin Quest GPS was small and waterproof for bike riding. Against all the reviews stating Garmin Quest GPS was slow, I got it, Now I regret it every time I use it. Slow, recalculates constantly. Now it wont tell me where to turn until I am past the turn, very handy, then it starts recalc about three times and I shut it off and restart it.

Right out of the box this unit does not work. When powered on it froze when trying to get my current location. I can not even power the unit off. To exchange, I have to pay for a second unit. Then Tiger will make a decision on the unit. So just get your refund and do not buy refurbished units
