Engenius Vs Linksys wusbgsv2 using Network Stumbler. The Linksys was constantly dropping the wireless signal. I bought the Engenius since it can use an external antenna. I was expecting about the same results as the Linksys drop single rate, however the Engenius did drop the signal but not as often as the Linksys. When using the Stock antenna that came with Engenius, Network Stumbler showed an improvement signal reception over the linksys. When an external antenna was used, the Network Stumbler show a much improved signal reception. The drop signal is no a thing of the past.

Works great! After two years of listening to my wife complaining about the dropouts from the Linksys adapter she had been using, I went ahead and purchased the Engenius unit. The instructions were clear and everything worked as advertised. I used to have the Linksys unit stuck to the side of a nearby window to get a decent signal and it still suffered dropouts. This device seemed to work just fine wherever I put it. The client software is also much more useful and informative than the Linksys version also. Highly Recommended!

This product being higher power actually overdrives the wireless router making it ineffective. I've learned that higher power USB devices are a bad idea. Also, it uses huge amount of electrical power from the PC's USB port. High power next to me the user is likely a bad health risk also. Best to buy a less powerful device.
