D-Link Print Server
D-Link Print Description
Easily Share a Printer Over an Ethernet Network
D-Link, an industry leader in networking, introduces the DP-301P+ Express EtherNetwork Fast Ethernet Print Server. The DP-301P+ is a compact print server that allows you to share your parallel printer on an Ethernet network. Now, everyone on your network can enjoy the benefits of sharing a single printer.
The DP-301P+ is a great alternative to software-based printer sharing. The DP-301P+ eliminates the need to have your printer connected to a host computer. With the DP-301P+, everyone on your network can be sure that their printing jobs go through at any time. Documents also print faster from the DP-301P+ than from software-based printer sharing solutions.
The DP-301P+ supports all the major networking protocols such as TCP/IP, NetBEUI, AppleTalk, and EtherTalk. It is compatible with computers running Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and all other TCP/IP compatible operating systems.
Easy Web-Based Configuration
The DP-301P+ is easily configured using a Web-browser. With the user-friendly Web-based setup, you can quickly configure your DP-301P+ Print Server from any computer on the network. A PSAdmin configuration program is also included to configure your DP-301P+ for Windows-based systems.

D-Link Print Reviews

Very easy to configure and maintain, it solved our problem with great ease. Not only it works within our local network, saving us the need to keep a computer on all the time (energy wasted and security risk) and tying up its resources (slows it down when printing large jobs), but also works well with our Citrix farm. I highly recommend D-Link Print Server product. Now if only we could as easily solve the ''it's my turn'' problem...

I tried a Hawking HPS1P prior to D-Link Print unit. This D-Link is SUPERIOR IN ALL WAYS. Out of the box it can be configured without installing any software, just adjust your network settings. Even better, to configure Windows XP computers to print to it you don't need to install anything. Just set your printer port to be a Standard TCP/IP port and set the printer driver and you're ready to print. I can't recommend this product enough.

YES!!! It does work with Windows Vista! After a year of leaving a big, old, slow, barely operating W98 power hogging tower permanently turned on and connected to my ancient HP LJII-P as a print server, I finally bought this D-Link DP-301P.It arrived about 3 hours ago and took me less than 5 minutes to configure. I can now get rid of 800 watts of power sucking, heat generating gear, along with the attending rats nest of wires hulking in the corner of the dining room/erstwhile office.Once again, Tiger Direct directs me to just the right thing to solve a problem.

The D-Link DP-301P+ print server is a rock solid little unit. Configuring the print server is simple and straight forward. The only thing I wish D-Link added to this unit is a physical reset button. If you lose the IP configuration of this device it is a chore to recover. Also, the device lacks any serious security. In a home or SOHO environment, this hardly matters. I thought so much of this product I bought two of them.
