D-Link DPR-1260 Wireless G Print Description
D-Link RangeBooster Wireless Print Server
The D-Link RangeBooster G Multifunction Print Server (DPR-1260) is D-Link's most versatile and easiest to use Print Server yet. When attaching multiple devices, the Quick Installation Wizard takes all the work out of setting up the Print Server and configuring the attached printers. Multiple ports give you the option of adding multiple printers or multifunction printers to the network. RangeBooster G technology improves wireless performance, reducing the time required to send print jobs to the print server.
Printers Welcome
Tested with over 100 different printer models, this Print Server offers class-leading device compatibility. This print server is compatible with a wide range of USB multifunction printers and is backward compatible with USB 1.1/1.0 printers.
Wireless Expandability
The Ethernet port on the Print Server can be used as a wireless bridge. This provides wireless connectivity for any Ethernet-enabled device, such as a computer, Digital Video Recorder (DVR), or Network-Attached Storage (NAS) to the wireless network.
The RangeBooster G Multifunction Print Server (DPR-1260) is the ideal network printing solution for small offices, home offices, schools, and other businesses that require sharing multiple printers.

D-Link DPR-1260 Wireless G Print Server product does hardly anything it says it can do. DO NOT BUY! Tech support is a joke too. I would recommed just buying a new wi-fi printer.

Thanks Compusa.com for helped me with the D-Link issue. The DPR-1260 didnt work properly for months, I tried to reach the technical support, but they were unable to solve the problem, and return or change the item. So Compusa.com after the 30 day return policy, understood the responsibility to serve the client (Myself) correctly, and accepted the item back.I will never buy anything from D-Link, but I will buy forever from Compusa.com.Thank you Compusa.com

Works OK as a print server, but is only a wireless bridge on the LAN, not to the internet, which I was looking for (Does not configure DNS). Also, with the unit sitting right next to my laptop, it only connects at 11 mbps on the wireless. Must use ethernet cable to get 108Mbps. If all you want is a wired network print server, D-Link DPR-1260 Wireless G Print is a good one. Forget the wireless unless desparate.

No probs at all. A little bit of effort to configure and having to install the printer on each machine might be a bit of a hassle if you have many machines. It's also a wireless bridge and that's pretty handy. The instructions talk about using a name like dlink-fbc164 (whatever the MAC address has). I wasn't successful with this on all my machines but it works fine with IP or it's default (I assume WINS) name dpr1260.

I bought this print server to replace my Netgear 606 in order to use the scanner on my HP 6210. Everything works great. Your printer driver should be loaded on your PC before you begin. Step 1 (add to network) Plug printer to USB port on 1260, plug PC direct to 1260, telnet to the 1260, statically assigned an IP for the 1260 and set up wireless to my network. Step 2 (setup printer) telnet to 1260, added printer to my PC. I did the same to 4 more PC's and we can all print and/or scan to/from my HP 6210. Works like a charm.
