I have had nothing but problems with D-Link 2-Port KVM device. half of my keystrokes aren't registering and some happen multiple times with one push of the button. As for the mouse, sometimes the mouse clicks won't register. I have never had problems with a KVM before but I think that D-Link 2-Port KVM one is due in part to the 2 inputs and one output. Don't expect to type anything without frustration and a lot of correction when this is hooked up

This works great! I was frustrated that it didn't work--and then I followed the directions:) It comes partly plugged in, and I didn't see that the audio plugs still needed attaching! I love that it can hide, and I can use my keyboard to do the switching--my first experience with hotkeys! My kids can run their dance machine on one computer, and I can use the other (the audio can go with either computer separately).

Do not buy this product. It sucks!!! Spend the extra money on something else.

well, I bought this item expecting good quality becuase D-Link 2-Port KVM was DLINK, Boy was I wrong. When I opened it up it looked perfect. the 2 kvm cables were already connected to the main unit so all had to do was connected to my 2 pc's right? WRONG!!!. for some reason channel 1 would not work. after much troubleshooting, i finally found out that who ever assembled this unit at the dlink factory, probably in CHINA, bent and broke all the pin connectors on one of the KVM cables. Dlink wants me to pay the shipping to send it back so I can get a new one, I do not think that is right at all since D-Link 2-Port KVM was their fault, plus i already payed shipping when I ordered the darn thing. I will Never buy DLINK again or from future buys from either of these companys again. Especially with the way the economy is these days, you just throw away money on Items and shipping for something you buy that is suppose to work and not come in broken straight out of the box!!!!!!!!

Out of the box, this product looks good and is packaged we. As stated the video cables are already hooked up. I plugged it into the first PC and the keyboard and mouse worked fine. HOWEVER, I use a multimedia keyboard and mouse, both Microsoft. The D-Link KVM switch does NOT bring forward the special features and Keys of the keyboard and mouse. Even though they are both USB devices. I called D-Link and they confirmed this. So, if you intend to use special keyboards, then don't get this product. Tiger Direct was great through the whole process as always.
