Grab one at the savings! Great fitures unless you want a HD camera for twice the price. I gave it a 4 1/2 star rating because Canon's movie format with Canon FS100 Flash Memory Camcorder cam is a extention of MOD instead of MPEG but the software that comes with Canon FS100 Flash Memory Camcorder will decode it OR you can just change the format on your hard drive to MPEG and Canon FS100 Flash Memory Camcorder will play with Windows Media Player just fine. Pictures look good at a resolution of 1152x684, Movies at 640x480 are nice enough for any PC or playing on your TV or sharing. I like the aperture of f/2.0 to f/5.2. Zoom is and 37x optical impressive. Took a banfire movie over Halloween and looked good. Wish it had a view finder along with the LCD display. Very easy to use and battery power that will last. Fits nicely in your fair sized pocket. Canon and the new SDHC card makes it nice! Read the Specifications, so far so good here!

Finally made the ''jump'' and bought a camcorder, after I charged the battery, and looked briefly at the directions..took it with me into the woods and had a blast!! Made the right choice, and for the right price..

It's great!! Way better than a 100$ camera there is nothing better. Ex of zoom: Lets say I have a regular size text on a paper, physically I can not read it just to far my eye sight is 2020 but I zoom up to with non digital zoom and I can read it if I was hitting my face against it! Nice soft zoom equals awesome looking videos also now I don't have to touch my camcorder if I am doing something I just look at the view about 5' away with my remote and use the zoom! With a battery that finally isn't a dumb ''double A'', now I just charge it's common but it is unbelievable! Other cameras ''EAT'' the battery's up! Even the price is good nothing beats Canon I think Canon FS100 Flash Memory Camcorder is a ''best buy'' and recommend it to everyone that has the money!

What a sweet little camera!This thing has more settings,modes and gadgets than a person could ever use.The auto (easy)mode makes it super easy to catch that odd happening without haveing to set up for a shot.No more missed scenes that you only see once.The difference between the two zoom types is that advanced uses just a little of the digital zoom to get the picture in REALLY close without degrading the picture quality.And it REALLY works great!!Haven't used the photo mode yet because I bought an A590 at the same time as this.Honestly folks this tiny thing makes amazing video.You just can't go wrong.The best thing is that there are only TWO MOVING PARTS!!!!The zoom lens and the LCD screen.No more tape drives to eat that tape of Sissy's first steps.That's where 99% of cameras break.In either the drive or open/close function.

What a STEAL! This camera has some amazing features for such a low price. It is absolutely TINY! It fits in your pocket (large pocket). This is a pretty decent still camera as well, and can be used for video and still on a Disney Vacation. The one feature this has that no other camera in this class has is the external microphone jack. It has a standard 1/8'' mini mic jack, not one of those proprietary hot-shoe mount mic jacks. We use one of these to make training videos at the Fire Department and I have one at home for family and business use.
