Note as mentioned in the discription, Cables To Go 6-Foot USB to DB25F Printer Adapter product connects to your existing printer cable, not to the printer, so precious review is incorrect. The Female end will easily connect to your printer cable and then will be long enough to be useful.

Whoever designed Cables To Go 6-Foot USB to DB25F Printer Adapter product did not know much about printers (or maybe they did). Parallel ports on a printer are always female. Why would you design a cable with a female on it!! Is it so that they can also sell a gender changer?

Always female? I don't think so. Right now I have in front of the the cable for an HP LaserJet 2100, and it definitely is MALE...
