I wanted an over-the-air TV tuner card and had initially tried an ATI TV Wonder card that would allow me to get analog as well as HD signals, since I'd had trouble getting clean HD reception, even with my amplified antenna.The ATI card bombed. I could not get its drivers to load without crashing my computer. I decided to try the less-versitile (no analog) AVer TV HD card on the recommendation of TigerDirect. The AVer card and drivers worked perfectly right away. Better yet, it processes the TV signal cleanly enough that there is no trouble with the HD reception.AVerTV MTVHDA18R is a nifty little card that solved my needs right away.

Software works well and video is clear. Note that AVerTV MTVHDA18R card does not work in Media Center unless an analog tunner card is also installed. Card and software were easy to install and worked right away on my XP system. I had tried an ATI card before and also had problems with the driver.
