Very, very pleased with AVerMedia MTVHBMCER tuner. Works great with Media Centre. I have Vista Home Prem 64, and it works great with x64 OS. I don't think it's very clear on Tiger's website that it comes with two antennas, a remote, and two remote receivers.. as well as installation disc, and coax cable adaptor. It works great with cable. The guide on Media Centre is awesome, and the remote is so much better than I expected it to be. I did a lot of looking around, and AVerMedia MTVHBMCER is the best tuner for Vista users (ESPECIALLY 64-bit users!). And if you're like me, you'll block all your PCI slots with video cards =). Don't sacrifice video/sound card space for great for tv. Oh and you can use it on two computers without unplugging and plugging in things (I needed a USB extention cable). So glad I can use it with both my laptop and desktop. Without swapping USB connections!

First off I must say that it works great with Vista! Main reason for buying this is because I travel a lot and wanted to play my PS3 ohttp://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/reviews/reviews.aspn my laptop. You can use the AvertTV Hybrid to play video game consoles on your lap or desktop. Works well...no lag, however only in 420p thus far. Trying to tweak to to atleast 720p. I also own a gamebridge that works great but not with Vista. Havent used it as a tv-tuner or radio yet.

All i have to write about this product is ... it's incredible. i have bought this product and it is great for this price is just perfect and you cant really beat it. you get so much stuff with this . like a controller to record right there on the spot and much more. its a very good video game capture card it is as well.if you are wondering is it good for vista and the answer is yes!! so dont worry if you think its not going to work.

I find this tuner to be simply ok. If you are looking to play games in real time don't get this, since this one has a 2-3 second lag. Bought this tuner because of the comment below posted that he played PS3 in real time and that is FALSE. However, this is a very nice tuner if your looking to watch VHS, camcorders, or things like that. Also, the quality of the HDTV is EXCELLENT! The only thing I didn't like besides the huge lag with games was that Windows Media Center doesn't record (as far as I know, I might be wrong) in an editable kind of file. So if your planning on editing that favorite TV show of yours by cutting out the commercials I don't believe you can with Windows Media Center. The antenna is basically useless sorry to say. Also in order to user the RCA/S-Video inputs, you need to start the TV wizard each time you switch from TV to the inputs. Luckily I was able to return this one, and bought the AverMedia Volar MAX since it suited my needs better, but that's just me.

This is one of those review I felt somewhat compelled to write. This is the best tuner I've owned so far, and I have purchased 6 or 7 over the years.I definitely prefer the USB models over internal cards (I have owned both types). They are much easier to install, and there are far fewer compatibilty and driver issues. I configured a small Shuttle PC as a media hub, so I don't have extra slots inside the case anyway.I am using the tuner for Vista Media Center, and it works perfectly with it. The one thing I did that might have saved problems was instead of installing the drivers from the included CD, I downloaded the latest drivers from the AverTV site.The external USB boxes are much easier to work with, as far as plugging/unplugging cables and such.I was really surprised by the number of add-ons that came with this tuner. The remote is excellent, and works with my Linksys Media Extender.I recommend this tuner without hesitation.
