I brought 4 OF these for christmas gifts and i have to say that Acer Aspire One AOA150-1997 Netbook was a good buy. It does take 2 gigs of memory the speed is great. Internet surfing is wonderful depending on the type of service you have and wireless router you are using. Always remember to set your wireless network to private to prevent others from using your service. I also purchased a micro blue tooth which is great barely notice it there. Purchased a external dvd multi-drive slim line great. Battery life could be better. 2hrs max. Purchased a usb memory card to keep the clutter off my netbook. Over all good buy for the money. I'm planning to buy the 10 inch soon.

I have now bought my second Aspire one NETBOOK. (My wife kept borrowing my first one now She has her own.)I no longer carry my HP IPAQ Travel companion handheldPC. Acer Aspire One AOA150-1997 Netbook little tool fits my needs perfectly. I ride a motorcycle often and Acer Aspire One AOA150-1997 Netbook small form fits in the bags perfectly. When I must travel this netbook is a perfect fit for the cramped airline seating. I do not play PC games so the negitive reviews on gameing speeds are not a factor for me. What is important is connectivity, Productivity, Reliability. I use my cell phone as a modem via USB connection and am always available to the office to ''Dial in'' my whole world is held on this little blue time saver. If you are looking for a compact reliable business tool you have found the ticket. only draw backs I will list is no bluetooth radio built in, and the web cam could have been of a higher quality. Acer gets an A- on this product.

Whoever said google earth runs well... SHUT UP !! Maybe google maps but gearth is so slow as to be unusable (as you will find of you enter google earth + aspire one into a search engine.Otherwise great. I now do most of my email, surfing chat on mine.Even some of the older (2 or 3 years) opengl games run ok.The graphics are not comparable to a raddeon 9200. I have a 9200 in my desktop and there is a huge difference. What its good for is a blast on openarena, nexuiz etc.Commercial games really aint gonna run well.

This is a great little machine. Its size makes it extremely portable, and the battery life is awesome. The crystal brite screen is great, and the quality of the web cam is better than others I have compared it to. The only downside to the unit is the audio. The speakers are located on the front underside, which makes them hard to hear at times, especially when sitting in your lap. It works fine if you hook it up to headphones or external speakers. Another downside is the limitations to the ram; it would be nice if you could take it to 2 gigs. Otherwise, it's been a very good computer, and is great for web surfing, instant messages, and word processing.

Handy little machine for when you're on-the-go. Fast wireless card, ultra-portable, and the battery gets between 4 to 6 hours depending on application. The Intel GMA945 video chipset, comparable to Radeon 9200, allows for older games and is able to play around Quake III at most without trouble, and probably a few games released after that, too. Source-engine games make it choke, as to be expected. Google Earth runs well. Microphone and built-in webcam are quite clear and powerful for webchats such as Skype. All-in-all, an awesome little computer for the price and portability. You want a monster computer? Buy a desktop. This little devil's for mobility, and does it well.
