Acer Aspire One AOA150-1679 Netbook ONE IS WORKING BEYOND EXPECTATIONS AND BELIEVE ME I WAS WORRIED. ITS VERY FAST ON THE NET, EVEN WIRELESS. THE PROCESSOR IS AMAZING AND IT CAME WITH XP!!

Greetings,This handy little device is the perfect replacement for your 5+ pound traditioinal lap top PC. I have had mine for two weeks now and it performs quite nicely. The Intel Atom proc handles basic Internet functions and Office Suite programs decently, and the Wi-Fi capability is at least average or better when compared to similar 802.11 b/g 10/100Mps NICs. The integrated webcam is handy for a quick video chat even if it is pretty low resolution. Really, the only thing I didn't like about this little netwbook is the battery life. Equipped with a 3-cell Lithium-ion battery, Acer says you'll get 2.5 - 3.0 hours on a charge. Unfortunately, in my experience, I have only gotten just shade over 2 hours before this baby shuts down. I see now that there is a 6-cell battery available for this unit but at approximately $125.00 for the upgraded battery you should think a bit before shelling out 50% the cost of this netbook for a longer life battery. Still, it's a pretty good deal!

I've had this computer for a couple of days now and would highly recommend it. The small keyboard takes a little getting used to but that's the sacrifice for the size. This thing is ultraportable and fast for its size. I'm not going back to a conventional laptop again. I'm going with a desktop at home now.
