I can't say enough about how cool Acer Aspire One AOA110-1834 Netbook little number is. I set it up fast and was extremely pleased with it's performance. Yeah, you can't actually use CDs with it, but I just download the contents of CDs in a flash drive from another computer and using the USB ports, I add files and software without any problems. I haven't had it longer than three days and already I have had a couple offers from people wanting to buy it off me.

For a netbook, Acer Aspire One AOA110-1834 Netbook is you best buy as of 2/2/09. I bought this Netbook a month ago, and it's fantastic. It comes with windows, which is good, but I wanted something a little more, so i made a live boot USB and installed a Ubuntu distro called Easy Peasy that was made for the Aspire One. As for the Value, it's worth every penny. It has a nice web cam which isn't better than my cellphone but still is nice to have. The extra SD card slot and the 8GB SD card that comes with it is unbeatable. If you have a problem with the laptop Acer support isn't that great, they failed to realize that the Aspire one doesn't have a CD drive, but I have a external DVD drive. It's very pretty and the brown has little golden sparkles in it, which gives it a nice golden touch. As for working with it outside, It is very shiny so unless its a cloudy day you won't be able to see it in regular sunshine, maybe in the shade though. It's Quality and performance are the best,I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Great little netbook, though I did have some trouble that needed fixing. I was disappointed to find this thing was SLOW. I have the 8GB SSD, and pulling up web pages seemed as slow as dial up. After much searching on the web, all I could find was the SSD Acer used was a poor choice. I did find one person suggesting changing the power management settings in windoze; set the power management settings to ''off'' for the wireless card. Problem solved- the unit now hums along at regular speed, same as my much-heavier laptop. This thing works great- it is light, portable, and not too bad to type on after getting used to the keyboard layout. All in all a great value for the money. Use it as a second unit- not as your main computer, and you will be very happy.
