When I was searching for a laptop to replace my old desktop box I found Acer Aspire 7720-6712 Laptop to be my best option. The features and relation to price give you more bang for the buck.As for the processor and memory, it's enough to tame Windows Vista, often known to use a great deal of resources. You can work out without worrying about getting any lag.As for features, the 4 USB slots are just what you need. I have never used the Firewire, ExpressCard or S-Video, so I can't make an opinion. The Multi Media Card reader is a godsend for a more direct interface (to te point of not needing an USB cable to connecting to a camera). As for the VGA output, it is great for connecting any projector, sometimes using Acer Aspire 7720-6712 laptop as a hi-def DVD reader.The beautiful crystal clear screen is a blessing for those who need space to do their work, or simply want to enjoy image and video.But take heed, this laptop is meant to be a desktop replacement, the battery doesn't last more that 3 hours, even in low power mode.
