I have 2 of these units and they both work (or not) identical. When using the coax cable to connect to the TV, the unit injects a loud line noise into the Audio and the volume control on the unit does not work, It's either off (at the 0 bar) or on (at bar 1 through 63).When using the RCA connectors to connect to the TV, i.e. Audio Left, Right and Video, the Audio has much less line noise and the volume control on the unit does what it's supposed to.Either way, it takes several annoying seconds to switch the unit on or off.VERY POOR ENGINEERING!Access HD TV is NO help! After 20 minutes on the phone an operator played a recording for me, then hung up!Don't waste your money or coupon on AccessHD DTA-1080U Digital to Analog Converter Box!

I get more channels now then I ever did before with just the antenna. Perfect picture and sound, worth every cent. Seems to get all the HDTV channels. Shows channel number and station identifier on channel change. Takes around 6 seconds to power up after pushing the power button. Volume control does nothing that I noticed. It does get VERY hot at the vent, almost too hot to touch. Very light weight, weight from antenna cable pulls it off top of TV. No bells and whistles with AccessHD DTA-1080U Digital to Analog Converter Box unit, only decodes DTV signal and nothing else. I'm very surprised at the picture quality, much better then even a cable TV analog signal. Get your coupon and buy this and a nice power antenna.
